ELVIS AND THE RAFFLE
Reported that last autumn, while Elvis was filming “World Fair” in Seattle, he bought a book of raffle tickets for Charity, the prize being a car. In Hollywood, after Christmas, Elvis received a telegram telling him that he had won the prize, which awaited collection. Elvis, after consultation with the Colonel, replied “Please raffle car again.” The Charity consequently took double proceeds.
