U.S. RECORDING UNIT MAY FLY TO ELVIS

RCA-VICTOR are considering flying top American musicians as well as equipment to Germany soon to record a series of new titles by Elvis Presley (cables Nat Hentoff).

RCA now have only enough pre-recorded material “in the can” for two further Presley singles and they are anxious to replenish their stocks.

Presley, recently promoted to Private First Class, is scheduled to begin filming on “Rodeo” for Paramount in America immediately on his discharge in 1960.

This will precede shooting on a new 20th Century-Fox film, announced last week, in which he will portray a young Mississippi gambler.
