This June sees the 70th anniversary of Elvis booking a PRIVATE recording session at the Memphis Recording Services studios on Union Avenue – home of Sun Records, and recorded “My Happiness”. This was the pivotal landmark event that was to change popular music history and culture. Well, on Saturday 3rd June we are going to book a PRIVATE trip out to our radio ship at anchor in the Blackwater River, Essex, to pre-record interviews in our Radio Caroline studios and we would love you to come along.
Visitors will be taken out to Ross Revenge from West Mersea, Essex on our tender Razorbill 3. The boat is fully licensed and insured with a fully qualified skipper. Tours of the ship last approx one-and-a-half hours the studio interviews half an hour. The journey time between West Mersea and the ship is approx 20 mins.
We are limited to twelve guests in each party, and during the day there will be 4 sailings. The price per person is £30.00.
